Hello Todd,

Will there be or is there a need for 2012 version or will the 2008 version work with 2012?

Regards,

Michael

Hi I would love if there was a SQL Server 2012 version too. The 2008 version does not work with Visual Studio 2010.

Hi!

This component sounds very powerful. Would Todd, or someone who has used this successfully, do us a huge favor and give us a visual (picture) of what the output would look like please?

Thanks loads

Hello intrepid1,

Please explain what you mean by "output". This is a Send Mail task for SSIS packages but with the added ability of using HTML to format the message body, therefore, the output is what you want it to be :)

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your reply. Here are my questions:
  1. If I have a HTML file and email it using Todd's component, then, would all the inbedded links work?
  2. Curretnly the Send Mail Task allows a File Connection as the MessageSourceType. If this file connection references an HTML file, the task won't work. So Todd's component provides a solution for this exact issue?
  3. What if my file is a .HTM and not .HTML?
Thanks loads for your help.

  1. That would just be an attachment then and would depend on what application opened the attachment. Presumably one that can handle HTML and so the answer would be yes but I suspect that's not what you meant, reading 2.
  2. This task does not have the file connection as message body source I'm afraid. Hadn't realised that until you asked :)
  3. N/A if you're referring to the ability in point 2.
Why don't you download it and give it a go?

Regards,

Michael

Wanted to chime in - Todd, any plan to update this to be compatible with SQL Server 2012?
Same question for the HTML table destination.
